The 1959 Chevrolet Impala holds a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts worldwide. While the 1958 model year is often considered the most coveted due to its status as the first-ever Impala, its successor, the 1959 Impala, is a true classic that commands attention and admiration. However, for those who appreciate a well-executed restomod, this Impala presents an exciting opportunity worth exploring.

During the 1959 model year, the Impala was available with various engine options. These included a six-cylinder engine producing 135 horsepower, a base 283 (4.7-liter) Turbo-Fire engine generating 185 horsepower, and a four-barrel version of the same engine pushing the output to 230 horsepower. The crown jewel of the lineup was the 348 (5.7-liter) engine, delivering an impressive 335 horsepower in its top Super Turbo-Thrust configuration.

While the new engine under the hood of this Impala brings a fresh sense of power, it is not the only aspect worth considering.
